HOUSE OF PRAYER

When The HUB began over two years ago, the Lord brought together a group of people who knew there "was more", and wanted to experience "the fullness" of Christ.  A House of Prayer was a spoke we all agreed needed to be present.  And so, we move toward
a 24/7 House of Prayer which we call THE WAITING ROOM.

We chose THE WAITING ROOM because we know our specific call is to Seek Him, Seek His Face and to set aside times to sit before Him and wait for His heart, His direction and His purpose for all we do.  Come wait with us!

We recognize there are MANY opportunities and forms of prayer, including worship.
Our desire is to offer a variety of  types of "watches" whether in style, or focus, so that all believers in our area will have place where they can pray for topics on their heart and in ways they prefer.  Some of these opportunities are:

  • Intercession                                                                                  > Our City
  • Worship                                                                                          > LIFE
  • Declaration fo the Word                                                           > Soaking
  • Prophetic Worship                                                                       > Contemplative
  • Devotional Worship                                                                     > Harp & Bowl
  • Worship through Creative Arts                                                 > What's on your heart?

"Any human experience, feeling or thought can be prayed."

Introduction to the Book of Job in the Spirit-Filled Bible.

The Waiting Room House of Prayer @ the HUB exists to:

  • Provide a place where the Body of Christ in our area can:
  • Sit and seek His face - to spend time with Him, to be refreshed and receive instruction
  • Partner with other houses of prayer, churches and para-church ministries
    to see fires
  • Going up from each location and joining with each other in the heavenlies,
to change our region for The Kingdom forever.
  • We firmly believe that the foundations for ALL believers
to achieve success in all areas of life are:

-Intimacy with the Lord Jesus - He is the Center - He is The HUB
of all we do and all we are
-Set apart times of Bible study
-Learning to know the Lord’s voice
-Humility: in how we approach the throne room & each other

There are Different Types of Watchmen:

  • Those who spontaneously participate in an existing watch
  • Full-time intercessory missionaries like Anna (Luke 2:37)
  • Leaders and participants in regularly scheduled watches for a specific purpose

  2. Taking time to learn about specific issules to be prayed about
  3. Hearing the hearts of those attending to hear what the Lord is saying to them
  4. Taking time to cleanse our hearts before Him (Ps. 24:4)
  5. Pray declaring the Word as much as possible
  6. Taking time to study The Word and hear from the Lord and pray according to His directions
  7. Partnering with a worship team and following a "Harp & Bowl" prayer model (1 Chron 15:1, 16:1-23, 5:25, 7:37-42, Rev. 4&5)
  8. Allowing the creative arts (painting, dance, poetry, etc.) to be used to express His heart toward us and our hearts toward Him.

24/7

“And a fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out.  And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. A fire shall always be burning on the altar, it shall never go out.”  Lev. 6:12-13

The Lord is calling His people to moblize to stand before His throne 24/7 – in praise, worship & intercession.
Let’s join with the angels as watchmen who pray 24/7 to keep the fire on the altar burning.

Some history about 24/7:

It was the foundation in Davids tabernacle (1 Chron. 15:1-17:27)
In the 1700s, the Moravians prayed 2 at a time for 125 years!
